IDF Congratulates Shane DeLeon as he starts with the University of Alabama at Birmingham!

Inter Development Fútbol (IDF) would like to congratulate Shane DeLeon as he commences on his next journey as a student athlete with the University of Alabama at Birmingham starting this month.  Shane is an IDF alumnus who spent his formative years at IDF, starting age nine (9) before he left at age 16 to continue his soccer education at NCFC.

 "I learned so much at IDF, both on and off the field. Leadership, mental strength, gratitude, and the importance of hard work are some of the most important lessons instilled in me during my time with the club. Combined with the technical and analytical side, the foundation I developed at IDF gave me a strong base to grow from as I continued my career with other clubs.”

Shane was part of the core group of players that started with IDF (view them playing), and during his eight years at the club they achieved a lot together. Among their many achievements, most notable was becoming US Club Southeast Regional Champions in 2018.

Coach André knows that the University of Alabama at Birmingham coaching staff will not only get a player prepared to help their program, but they will also be getting a good person.  Good luck to Shane as he starts this new chapter in his career.
